I only had a few students turn in the 5 sentences last week (again). Please work on that this week. It is helping a whole lot. Thank you to those of you that worked on them with your child and sent them back to school. If students continue to not bring their sentence booklets back, I will have to start assigning points to them. The students who do bring them back are making progress in their ability to tell what a sentence is.

Read for the Record

Today we have the opportunity to help break a world record. We are going to read the same book as thousands of kids from all across the United States. The book we will be reading is "The Snowy Day" by Ezra Jack Keats. It is a fun way to encourage children to read. I will let you know how many other students participated when I get the number.

Starting October 11, I will need 1 volunteer each day to come and help in our classroom: Mon, Tues, &Thurs, at 2:15. If you would like to come, please let me know. I have only had one volunteer contact me about helping, I still need at least 3 more.

Check your child's homework folder each night. There is generally something for them to work on. Remind them to turn it in when they get to school.
